haha what you said up above, that’s slide transition. that just chooses how the slides enter and exit.
what you want is custom animation.
go to task pane and choose custom animation
highlight the sentence you want to show up first and choose an animation (test them out and find which one you like!)
then highlight the next sentence and choose an animation for that. when youre done, test it out and see if you like it!
now if you want the sentences to exit with animation as well, you just add animation but choose EXIT when you do it.
ENTER (which is what i described in the paragraph above) is green
EXIT is red
there are many animations, but if you’re doing a simple one then you can just choose. you can also change the speed to what you want and if the whole sentence comes are just by letters, etc.

oh! and for the mouse click thing.
well it automatically says to do it on click but you can change this by right clicking the animation and choosing with previous or after previous (you can set the time for both).
but if you want the mouse clicking/space bar it should automatically do it for you. there should be a small icon of a mouse in front of the animation
